Hi everyone at Lose Baby Weight!
Exercise has been a big focus for me these last two weeks whilst I have been on the Lose Baby Weight plans.
I’ve been mixing up the times of day that I exercise, as well as interchanging between walking, running, Pilates, HIIT sessions and the Lose Baby Weight exercise DVD.
Managing to do the entire DVD had been a goal of mine since I got it back in December, so I’m pretty pleased to say that I can finally do it now! I signed up to do the 4km Mother’s Day Classic and I was slightly freaking out – I’d never done a fun run before! I’d been doing some running on my treadmill the last month or so, and spurred on by other Motivating Mums I decided to get out of my comfort zone and just go for it. I’m so proud of my efforts on the day.
I ran the whole 4km and my final time was quicker than my goal of 25 minutes. If it wasn’t for the other mums I wouldn’t have signed up – the Lose Baby Weight community is so supportive !
This week I joined the Healthy Mummy and Lose Baby Weight private Facebook group. I’ve found it so inspiring to look at how far others have come with their weight losses, and it’s been great to offer advice to those mums just starting out.
Some of our favourite recipes from the Lose Baby Weight website this week have been the pizzas, choc chip chickpea cookies and the honey sesame chicken. I love recipes that the whole family will eat without any problems and luckily there are so many tasty ones on the website to choose from. Also, my favourite healthy mummy smoothie this last week has been the ‘Raffaelo’ one – 1 cup light milk, 6 almonds, 1 tbl coconut, 1 tbl oats, 2 tbl vanilla Healthy Mummy smoothie and 8 ice cubes. It is AMAZING!
As for the scales this last fortnight they haven’t moved all that much but my fitness is definitely increasing which is something I’m super happy about. This time last year, there is no way I would have contemplated jogging – let alone running!
My mini goal is to reach 75kgs by the end of May. I’m currently at 76kgs with a total loss so far of 22kgs since December. I can do it!
