Hello fellow mummies, How has everyone found the Challenge so far?? I’m LOVING it! the food is amazing – as always and my partner has been even more supportive, than past 28 day weightloss challenges. I am proud to say that although there were some slip up days, I have managed to stay on the wagon!
Being a mum is the most amazing gift anyone could ever hope for, it is filled with love, joy and happiness. On the downside, our bodies suffer the ultimate price from, hair loss, stretch marks and most noticeably weight gain, which leaves us feeling flat, deflated and depressed.
Well at least that’s how I felt, anyway. And it wasn’t until I had that “click” moment one morning that I decided enough, was enough.
Then I found Lose Baby Weight. Which I recommend to any mum, which ever stage they’re at, whether their child is 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years or even 20 years! This program is suited to every single mother out there, and it has, not only changed my life, but my families lives, as well, as thousands of other mums.
Being a Motivating Mum, has hopefully motivated a few of you to either start your journey or finish it, but mostly, it has helped myself stay on track and work harder towards my goal. Some of my MM top tips to stay on track are:
- Get dressed (in workout gear) as soon as you wake up, even before breakfast! – you’ll be more likely to do something if you’re already dressed.
- Get it done early! – Than it’s already done and out of the way.
- Meal Prep/Be organised
- Start the day healthy – drink a herbal tea and make a yummy smoothie or make yourself a quick healthy breakfast.
- Put the scales away!
I use to be a serial weigher, I’d weigh myself, breakfast, lunch, dinner and before bed – it would drive me crazy!! Don’t do it, once a week is fine, or every fortnight, if that. Focus on the small wins, if your undies are getting too big, take it and run with it, that is a huge achievement in its self.
I’ve started to look for things that I can use to motivate myself, encourage me to keep going when I feel like giving up and taking the easy way out.
In recent weeks I’ve made myself a makeshift motivation board out of a box of nappies – printed out some cool quotes, some pictures of some random girls body and picked out a goal outfit – It looked awesome!
Then I realised that the reason I started, wasn’t too look like some super model in a magazine or to try and be better than everyone else. I started so I could be the best version of ME and to be a mother that constantly, inspires and motivates my children in every aspect of their lives.
I want them to live a healthy and happy life and what better way than to lead by example. It’s not only about me anymore, but two little boys who need their mummy.
Meal prep is so important in my house, and I really notice when I don’t do it! Being organised is a must, it’s one of the many things that help keep me on track. If I know I’m going to the shops or know I will be gone most of the day, I’ll have things for dinner ready, I’ll pack snacks and a big bottle of water to stop me from buying nasty, yuck foods.
Also having a routine I find helps (although I hardly stick to it) but I tend to get exercise in first thing in the morning , followed by some house work, than morning tea, kid time, lunch, more house work 🙁 afternoon tea, than if I can sneak away from the kids I’ll go for a run and be home to for dinner before the crazy starts.
Being a mum is hard work and trying to incorporate weight loss, can be tricky, but I am so grateful for all the wonderful things that I have learnt following the Lose Baby Weight plans, it truly is made for busy mums. and I’ll sing it to the cows come home. I want to send a huge shout out to each and every single beautiful mum out there. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! YOU CAN DO IT!
Jessika xx
