Hi Mums, my name is Irene and I have lost 21kg with Lose Baby Weight.
I began my journey of weight loss at 100.5kg in July 2014 after the birth of my 2nd baby. I couldn’t believe that I had let myself get that big.
Every time I craved a food I would eat it. I had such bad eating habits that even if I was full I would continue eating because I didn’t want the food to go to waste.

I slowly managed to reach 87.5kg by the end of December 2014 but that wasn’t enough. My BMI said I was “obese”!
I never had thought of myself as unhealthy or obese but then I realised I was taking care of my children but I wasn’t taking care of ME!
So then I decided for the year 2015 I would get myself sorted! January 1st 2015 I weighed in at 87.5kg. I am now 78.5kg on June 1st.

As a motivating mummy I not only want to show other mummies that this can be done, but that because I have come this far surely I can keep going!
I think becoming a motivating mummy will be an amazing way to have motivation for myself too. I plan to reach 74kg by the end of June (4.5kg – I think I can do that!) I was 74kg when I fell pregnant to my daughter 3 years ago so this will be a massive milestone.
When I signed up for my first challenge in January, I was a bit sceptical because I had purchased things to do with weight loss in the past and I had never followed through with them because they seemed unattainable.
I had signed up for the gym, diets, etc and they had all fallen through. Lose Baby Weight seemed different to me because there is a real community feel on the online facebook support group. You can talk with other mothers just like you who have the same goals; ultimately to lose weight and to become healthier and more active!
The 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge was really straight forward and simple to customize. The online meal planner shows calories, the servings (which are customizable), and tells you how you can increase your calories if you are breastfeeding or simply need more for that meal. All meals and snacks were so easy to prepare and cook.

The hard part for me (at first) was moving.
Because I hadn’t exercised in a few years, I had to push myself to go for a walk. I put my toddler and baby in the pram and went around the block.
I made it a goal for the first week to do 30 minutes of walking a day, and over time upped it to 45 minutes to 1 hour. Sometimes I even go for two walks a day and also do the exercises that are provided on the Lose Baby Weight challenge hub.
I have seen my body go through so many changes. No longer am I a beachball!
I can actually see my figure start to appear. I have a waist that is different from my hips and all of my clothes are now very, very comfortable and loose! In the month of January I lost over 50cm combined off my legs, thighs, arms, waist and hips.
Since then I have had to get rid of all my old clothes, and I’ve opened a box that has been taped up for years.. since I got pregnant with my first!
I can’t tell you just how exciting it is to put on a pair on TIGHTS that fit properly! I remember trying them on last year and they barely reached my knees!
