Poached eggs are a delicious and healthy meal but unless you know the tricks to making them work they can seem IMPOSSIBLE to perfect.
Luckily, we’ve cracked (couldn’t resist) the secret to flawless poached eggs!
And don’t worry you do not have to be a professional chef to pull this off.
The Perfect Poached Egg
- Step 1. Half fill a small pot or saucepan with water
- Step 2. Bring water to a rolling boil
- Step 3. Turn heat down and simmer on med/high heat
- Step 4. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to water
- Step 5. Add 3 teaspoons of white vinegar to water
- Step 6. Stir the water in a circular motion so that the movement of the water goes around similar to a whirl pool (the direction of the water doesn’t matter).
- Step 7. Crack eggs into the centre of the swirling water
- Step 8. Cook for 3 minutes or to desired runniness ( I like all my egg white cooked through and a runny yoke)
