Naomi’s weight loss results

Q. How much did you lose in total on the Lose Baby Weight Plans?

I lost 16kg in total while using the Lose Baby Weight smoothies twice a day. It took about seven months to lose that amount.

Q. What did you find most useful on the Lose Baby Weight Plans?

The controlled calorie/nutrient intake was (and still is!) wonderful. And it is just so easy. I still have smoothies for breakfast and some lunches because they are such an simple meal to prepare, especially now I’m back at work full time.

Q. Did the plans change how you and your family eat food and exercise?

Not really, only because we’ve always been fairly health conscious as a family. But placing the structure around my food intake certainly helped me highlight the areas in which I was going wrong (ie. too much grazing, snacking inappropriately etc) and to become aware of those unhealthy habits is the first step in changing them.

Q. Have you managed to keep the weight loss?

Yes, I’ve maintained my weight for the last three months since reaching my goal. The new challenge is to ensure I don’t slip back into those bad habits, otherwise it will have all been for nothing.

Q. Would you and have you recommended the plans to your friends?

Yes, providing they are prepared to have a serious look at what they are doing to sabotage their own weight loss and health. I think anyone can go on any kind of “diet plan” and lose weight, but if you aren’t prepared to acknowledge what you were doing to become overweight in the first place and if you go back to those unhealthy habits, then ultimately you won’t be successful. So the key is to acknowledge your bad habits, stay strong in ensuring they don’t creep back into your life and educate yourself on healthy living, because ultimately this isn’t a “diet”, but a lifestyle change.

Q. Any tips you would like to give to other mums wanting to lose their pregnancy weight?

Positivity is the key. Don’t think of it as depriving yourself . . . it is about creating a healthy lifestyle for yourself and your family. There is only one person that can do it and that is YOU. Don’t make excuses, invest in yourself. You will boost your own self esteem and be setting a wonderful example for your child/children.
