The reason so many of us gain weight over winter is because the cold weather leaves us craving comfort food which is usually high in calories, fat and sugar and is a bit is a disaster for our waist lines.
But we like to show you ways to still enjoy ways to have comfort foods without ruining your weight loss plans.
Janet Cook sent in her version of a Hot Smoothie Chocolate recipe using a Weetbix, a decadent and delicious hot chocolate treat – perfect for chilly days!
Ingredients
- 1 wheat biscuit crushed
- 250ml light milk (warmed or chilled)
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 2 tbsp chocolate Healthy Mummy Smoothie mix
Directions
- Pour milk over crushed wheat biscuit and leave for a few minutes until wheat biscuit is mushy.
- Add remaining ingredients and blend.
- Can be served hot or cold
