If you’re following a healthy eating diet plan to lose weight or just to keep you feeling great then you’ll want to pack a healthy lunch with healthy snacks. Sometimes this requires a little thought and a little preparation!
If you want more than just a boring salad sandwich, here are a few ideas to inspire you:
Chicken Salad Pita

A Handful of Mixed Nuts

Tortilla Sandwich
Take 2 slices deli turkey, 1/4 cup grated mozzarella, and 1 chopped roasted red capsicum and roll into a whole-wheat tortilla and slice into rounds – sushi-style: 296 calories
Spicy Chickpeas & Tuna
Add 1 small tin of tuna (drained) with 1/2 cup chickpeas and cayenne to taste over 2 cups chopped cos lettuce: 290 calories
Penne Pasta with Beans & Tomatoes
Take 1 cup cooked whole-wheat pasta and toss with 1 cup steamed string beans, 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes, and 1 tablespoon grated parmesan: 249 calories
Mixed Fruits
Mix fresh strawberries, bananas, blueberries and kiwi fruit for a fruit salad containing approximately 107 calories per cup. Pick fruit that is in season.
Smoked Salmon on Sourdough Bread

A Cup of Greek Yoghurt, Raspberries & Honey
Yoghurt, raspberries and honey is…..sweet, creamy and filling. This trio feels completely indulgent. The combination of fibre, healthy fats, and protein are sure to get you over any 3pm slump – with only 160 calories.
Crunchy Tuna Wrap
1 small tin of tuna, ¼ cup Greek yogurt, ½ a celery stalk chopped, 3 slices roasted capsicum, 1 handful of baby spinach and a squeeze of lemon juice. Mix all ingredients together and then put on 1 whole-wheat wrap. 382 calories.
Egg, Tomato, and Avocado Sandwich
Delicious any time of day- on 1 English muffin place 1 large soft boiled egg sliced, ¼ avocado sliced, 3 slices of tomato: 345 calories
