I am so happy to be back on the Motivating Mum bandwagon! I am a 21 year old mum to a gorgeous little 1 year old boy and Lose Baby Weight has helped me to lose 32kgs* and has honestly changed my life, my partners’ life and is setting up my son for the type of childhood I wish I had experienced.

I have been following the Lose Baby Weight plans since July 2014, so 16 months and not only have I lost a lot of weight but I have also gained so much as well. I am 32/33kg down with around 11kg to go and I have also lost over a massive 150cm from my entire body!!
Before I get into my Lose Baby Weight journey I thought I would give a little background as to why I needed Lose Baby Weight in the first place.
I have always been a bigger person, even as a child. I was always the biggest sibling and the biggest friend and I thought that was just the way I was destined to be.

As a teenager I hated my body so much and I tried to lose weight.
I had no weight loss knowledge and from the age of 17 I tried so many diets. Some of them worked in the beginning but I always reverted back to my old ways and would gain more and more weight.
My partners and I relationship revolved around food, we went out on breakfast dates, dinner dates, ice cream dates, movie dates (with movie food of course) and then there was all the food habits we had at home.
We were seriously eating ourselves to death and despite my efforts for us to lose weight nothing ever worked which is why I found myself heavily pregnant weighing over 120kgs with multiple medical conditions.
It wasn’t until that moment that I actually realised that not only did I want to lose weight but that I needed too – sure I had been trying for the past few years to lose weight but I never actually wanted it.
It hit me like a truck that I wanted my unborn child to grow up in a healthy, active household and most of all I didn’t want him growing up as an overweight child and being constantly teased like myself and my partner had been. It was then that I found Lose Baby Weight.

I thought in the beginning that it was too good to be true, a “diet” that was breastfeeding friendly, family friendly and let you eat so much amazing food – surely there had to be a catch right?
Well there is no catch, Lose Baby Weight isn’t a diet it is a lifestyle change and that is how I view my weight loss.
Lose Baby Weight has taught me so much food knowledge and has given me the confidence to be able to pick the healthy options when out and about. Not only has Lose Baby Weight given me the tools to lose weight but it has increased my happiness and I now have self-confidence!
I finally feel good in my own skin and I no longer hate myself, now I love myself. Self-love is one of the hardest things I have ever learnt but it is the most rewarding.

I have used the Lose Baby Weight Smoothies along with the various cookbooks and of the course the amazing 28 Day Challenge to turn my life around.
I love how quick and easy (not to mention tasty) the smoothies are and that they contain no nasties.
The 28 Day Challenges got me exercising, they were the first proper exercise I have ever really done and they led the way for exercise becoming part of my life.
My favourite part of the 28 Day Challenges are all the amazing recipes, there are so many recipes that even though I have been a member for over a year I am still yet to try them all! I am constantly changing my favourites as awesome new ones are released.
Currently I am mentally trying to not focus on the scales as much and instead just focus on living a healthy lifestyle. I just recently got back from a holiday where I didn’t exercise and I indulged a little too much so I am currently doing the Junk Food Detox.
I cannot rave enough about the detox, the food is amazing! My biggest thing that I do every single week is meal plan – I use recipes from the 28 Day Challenge, the cookbooks and the website.

Meal planning keeps me in control of my food and keeps me on track – not to mention it helps having a shopping list and keeps the food shopping in control.
Exercise wise I am currently doing quite a mix of things, I have a treadmill that I use most days while my son naps – I love it because I get to watch TV while exercising. I also do a number of gym classes plus have a PT and do weights/cardio at the gym.
My partner and I also try to do the amazing 54321 workout a few times a week. It has taken me a long time and a lot of stepping outside of my comfort zone to be doing this much exercise.
My biggest advice to you is start small and start with stuff that you enjoy (or if you are like me who used to hate exercise, start with something you can tolerate).
I really hope to be in the low 80’s by the end of the month and am hoping to be able to fit into some size 12 clothing too!!
I am so looking forward to this coming month, I really plan to smash it out and I hope that I can inspire and motivate you to do the same.
