Here is a Healthy Mummy smoothie recipe for the Lose Baby Weight smoothie of the week prize
I love making the ‘anything and everything smoothie’ a hearty filling breakfast smoothie!
It looks like a lot of ingredients, but because I prep a lot ahead of time, it’s just a matter of pulling it all together.
I just make it up as I go, but I usually have a few things Pre prepared ready to add to my smoothies.
Like peeling and chopping bananas when ripe, then I wrap them in foil and pop in the freezer.
I make a second cup of green tea when I make one of an evening, brew it, then let it cool and pop that in the fridge for my next few smoothies.
Then, if any fresh fruit is going to go old before I have a chance to eat, I’ll chop and freeze.
I’ll blend a carrot, orange and ginger in bulk and freeze that in our baby food freezer trays. I put a handfull of oats in a container with some water in the fridge to soften them, ready to add to my smoothies or my bubs food.
- 2 tbsp of any or combination of the healthy mummy smoothie
- 1 scoop of yoghurt (any flavour)
- 1 scoop of oats (softened)
- 1 small spoon of chia seeds
- Handfull of frozen berries
- Half a frozen banana
- Cube of pre blended carrot or Half a small carrot
- Big splash of Pre brewed & cooled green tea
- Milk of choice
- A few ice cubes
Blend and enjoy, Marion Turner
