Hi Lose Baby Weight Mums!!
How have you been the past two weeks? Being a motivating Mum is a wonderful thing and is definitely keeping me honest! I’ve had a couple of “treat meals”, but am still amazed at how drained I feel if I take my “treat meal” too far, which I still do occasionally! Not only are the lose baby weight plans and weight loss recipes shrinking my waistline, but they change my attitude and my whole feeling, body and mind!

It really is a change in lifestyle, however I’m still teaching myself everyday to maintain and avoid the “bad stuff”, however I am not letting it rule me. I hope to eventually get to the point where I can just automatically go the good stuff without having a little part of me pining for the “not-so-good stuff”, and I’m not there yet, but I’m getting better and am managing to choose better and squash the evil little sugar and fat eating monkey on my back!
I’ve been getting on the bike and being more conscious of exercising. I have been focusing a lot on my mid section. I feel if I tone up then perhaps I don’t need to lose the additional 10kg’s as per my original goal. I’m 180cm so maybe I need to not reach so far. My body has changed since becoming a Mum and maybe my goal is no longer right for my body. Perhaps I need to re-asses.
I have decided I’m going to give my bank account a break this week, luckily we have been stocking up on healthy food, so I am going to try and do a little challenge and use what I have in the freezer, pantry and fridge. I have most of the staples however I make extra portions of things, and then just keep buying up every week so this week, I will be hitting the freezer!
So I have been a little under the weather the last week or so and my savior has been the detox smoothie. The kiwi fruit packed with Vitamin C is really packing a punch. Having the 28 day plan has also been an incredible help as it takes out the need to “think” about what to have. It leaves no room for the “oh…I’ll just get take out”, because I already have the food at home.

I also still do my weekly shop (not this week though!), and I do it online. I can then see how much I am spending before I check out (which keeps my bank account healthy too!) and keeps me away from the temptation of going down the “wrong” aisles. Especially with an almost 4 year old who loves the coloured packaging the junk food companies use!
Speaking of my almost 4 year old, his birthday is coming up at the end of May and he has begged me for the layer cake from the Guilt Free Chocolate Treats and Baking cookbook, and of course I am more than happy to make that for his birthday! Have my littlest ones 1st birthday at the end of April and will be adapting some of the LBW recipes to make small bite sized portions for finger food, especially the cheesy zucchini bites as they are definitely one of her faves!
I have been on lose baby weight plans for 11 months and besides a few ups, I have had mainly downs (in weight loss of course!) and have lost 43kgs in 11 months. This achievement was beyond my wildest dreams of what I thought possible. I have lost 500grams since being a Motivating Mum after creeping back into the 80’s. And while it was a little sad to see the 8 at the beginning of my number, it just shows me I need to work harder to push back. Challenges are what makes me stronger and more determined.

Reaching the goals and being happy with who you see looking back at you in the mirror are very important for your wellbeing and for your loved ones. Being happy with your life and yourself is such an integral part of living. However, while you are trying to reach those goals and lose the weight, don’t forget to just live a little. Not everything is about the number on the scale or even the number that is on the little tag on your clothes. Be healthy, be happy and live your life to the fullest!
You’re a Mummy and you’re amazing, we all are. Do what you can do and don’t be so hard on yourself…after all its your life and you are in charge!
