Hi Healthy Mummies,
I hope July is treating you well and you are enjoying the lose baby weight lifestyle! I have lost 24kg*, gained so much confidence, fitness, health and happiness!
On 28th June I celebrated 1 year using the lose baby weight plans, challenges and the healthy mummy smoothies!
First of all I would like to thank all of the admin and the ladies on the Facebook private lose baby weight support group, for posting such amazing pictures/recipes/motivation!
Unfortunately a cold virus ( joys of my sons first year in day care) had wiped me out for a week this month, but I managed to make healthy food choices, and took a few days off running to let myself get better.
Here are some tips that helped me get through without undoing my hard work:
Smoothies!
The healthy mummy smoothies are a great source of vitamins to help support a strong immune system, I love that you can add different fruit and veggies to smoothies suited to your needs.
Rest!
I am all for no excuses, but when you are sick, there is nothing worse than pushing yourself to do intense exercise when your body is struggling. Walking was enough to keep me active and get some fresh air. When you feel ok to get stuck back in to your exercise program, be sure to ease yourself in gently.
Eating healthy comforting foods
My favourite meals were the toddler friendly meat pies from the 28 day challenge, they taste amazing without the guilt! They stored well in the fridge for times when I didn’t have energy to cook.
When I was rested and recovered I was ready to go full ball back into my running and lose baby weight workout DVD! I’ve completed a PB 5km in 26:20, 10km in 57:50 and 22km in 2hrs 20mins.
I have been in a rut and tending to stick with the same recipes each week, but I have been browsing the 28 day challenge recipe hub ( there are some super yummy ideas on there!!! ) and customising my meal plans for the week and it has given me the motivation to focus on my ultimate weight loss goal, without feeling like its a chore !
I’m so excited to see the recipes in August and push myself to achieve my goals! Enjoy it ladies!
