The past few months have been great- I’ve switched my focus. I am really enjoying weight training combined with HIIT.
For those who have followed my journey will know, I was running a lot previously and I even fulfilled my goal of running a Half Marathon when my son turned 1 in May 2014. Unfortunately, a few months later I suffered a foot injury and could no longer run more than 5-10km without a flare up. I was devastated. When I saw other mums posting about doing more Half Marathons, it was hard.
… And this could have been the end of my relationship with exercise, an excuse to comfort eat…Did I give up and go back to my old ways?
NO WAY!

My new found determination (since finding the Healthy Mummy) spurred me on to venture into the world of weight training.
I LOVE that the Healthy Mummy 28 day challenge includes a great amount of protein and carbs in their plans to support lean muscle growth.
Although my weight hasn’t dropped (it may have gone up slightly!) I can notice big changes in my tone and definition. My goal is to look fit and strong. I have chosen not to focus on the scales but more on how I look and feel.
