Motivating mum Eliza Carige has lost an amazing 22kg from following the Lose Baby Weight plans and the 28 Day Weightloss Challenges. Today Eliza shares what she loves most about Lose Baby Weight.
“My name is Eliza Carige, I am 27, married, work part time as a primary school teacher and most importantly a mummy to an 11 month old boy.
Lose baby weight to me is an incredible tool which has assisted in developing skills imperative to leading a healthy active lifestyle.
When I finished high school I went from being a fit young active person (not so much healthy) but I was small. I ‘liked’ it when people commented on my size, or said I was too skinny..
For me that’s what I ‘thought’ as a young women I was meant to look like… I developed an eating disorder and for the past 10 years have struggled with my weight fluctuating 10-15 kg.  When I fell pregnant I was 5 kilos off a healthy weight for my frame. After numerous miscarriages I was afraid to continue exercising,
I tried a couple of times and experienced pains in my lower stomach so I stopped immediately.  I liked my growing belly and wasn’t putting on huge amounts of weight, which was surprising because my portions were increasing and I became a dessert lover…
Slowly I put on 20kg with my first pregnancy. I have always had a flat stomach, big legs and bottom. Post delivery I had huge legs and a big belly. I had lost all shape and complete confidence in showing my body to my husband. This made me really sad and teary to a close friend.
The sleeplessness of a first time parent is a shock. I suffer from anxiety so when I should have been asleep I was worried and anxious, I had no time to eat and found myself starving all the time and then eating everything insight.
I was extremely self conscious, cried before leaving the house and didn’t want photos with my newborn 🙁 even though my husband continued to tell me I was beautiful I didn’t want to look in the mirror.
I started some light exercise at 2 months pp and really enjoyed it, but I couldn’t stop binge eating!
One night I came across Lose Baby Weight and my life turned from being upside down and I was given the hand I was looking for to guide me, back to being myself!
I started in September with my first 28 Day Weightloss Challenge. I lost 8 kg that month. So far I have lost 22 kg.
But it is what I have gained which will make me a Lose Baby Weight supporter for life!

  • I have gone from a size 16/18 to a 10/12
  • I have entered a half marathon (never could run previously)
  • I joined my old sport again (Outrigging)
  • I now wear high waisted skirts and heels to work (something I always dreamed of)
  • Most importantly I have found a new confidence within myself which I have never experienced!
