Coconut is a superfood and is a great ingredient (in moderation) to add to your cooking and your smoothies.
The reason it is thought to be so good is that it primarily consists of medium-chain-fatty-acids which can speed up metabolism because they are easily absorbed by the body and converted into energy.
And the below smoothie recipe has 1 tbsp of shredded coconut in which give it a great taste without it being overpowering.

Blend for 2-3 minutes
