Hi Healthy Mummies!
I am writing in to give you a run down on how I am “maintaining” my weight. I’m not too sure if I consider myself on “Maintenance” yet, I officially have 2.8kgs to lose until my ultimate goal but I have lost around 33kgs all up using the Lose Bay Weight plans 🙂
 So my journey has not been all that smooth, I have been through some really tough times with the scales, I have even PUT WEIGHT ON. But everything I have learnt has made me a better person for it.
The scales, the number 1 reason most of us lose motivation, right?
I know when I don’t see what I want to see I totally lose motivation. I rarely weigh myself now, I used to weigh in every day (Biggest mistake ever!)
I now weigh in about once a fortnight or so just to check how I’m going, sometimes once a month.
I more so refer to pictures.
Seeing SOME change, SOME difference, something I like, it’s motivated me to keep going even if the numbers do not reflect what I do day to day.
 Most of you know I work at an all-women’s fitness centre so I am very exposed to health and fitness and I totally love it. I am also a Les Mills and Zumba instructor!
Being an instructor I am very very LUCKY that my workouts are generally scheduled for me on a club’s timetable, however, everything I teach is cardio based; so I have had to rework my schedule to fit in extra weights/strength sessions to help shift my last few kilos and to help tone and define my hard work.
Like most mums, I also have a house to run, meals to make, grocery shopping to do, kids to drop off and pick up as well as my own shifts at work.
So where does any extra fit in? It just has to!
Sometimes I am lucky to hit the gym after hubby gets home,  and I get to do an awesome weights session, sometimes it’s whatever I can fit in during the kid’s nap time on my lounge floor- that’s where my Lose Baby Weight DVD comes in or the challenge exercises help!
Whatever fits into your schedule- just do it! Don’t over think it!
