Hi my name is Andrea and I am excited to be a Motivating mum for the month of August. I have lost 28kgs* with Lose Baby Weight.

I found Lose baby weight September last year when my daughter was 3 weeks old; I was 93kg and really struggling with my weight, which I had been for many years. I saw Lose baby weight on Facebook and I looked into it.
The awesome mum’s on it caught my attention and I also found the stories so easy to relate to so I took the plunge and signed up for the September 2014 challenge and to say I have not looked back is an understatement.
11 Months on I am 28 kg’s* lighter and the lightest I have been in my adult life, I currently weigh 64.7kg (I am 178cm tall).
When I started my first Challenge I was determined not to fail as I had on my previous weight loss attempts, I was taking on a lot with a brand new baby and two very active and busy older boys  but I allowed myself some prep time, I  read lots of the helpful blogs on the website and readied myself.

I took my before photo’s and as hard and as horrible as they are I am extremely glad I did because the day’s I struggle I look at them and realise how far I have come.
At the beginning I focused on my food and worked on that I followed the meal plans, but some time I repeated the same meals (often my snacks).
I introduced the Healthy Mummy smoothies to my life and these where my saving grace when I was constantly feeding bub or just running around after kids. I was having breakfast and lunch consistently for the first time in 15 years and I love the different combinations that there are and ones that I have created.
I still have them for breakfast and lunch as they are so easy and convenient for me. My first challenge introduced so many amazing dinners that my entire family loved that I knew I had finally found a program that was going to work for my family and I.
99% of our favourite family meals are from Lose baby weight and this makes me love this lifestyle even more, it also made it easier to achieve my goals because my family where happy and eating amazing food.
As things have fallen into place with changing my diet I have continued on with focusing on my exercise. When I started in September I was only walking my kids to school (3-6km) I had to take into account that I had just had a baby, yes I wanted to do more but I had to be realistic and it was important that I didn’t go to hard to soon.

I then slowly introduced the challenge exercise into my daily exercise as well as the DVD. I have now built up my exercise routine to working out at the gym 5 times a week, training with a personal trainer 1-3 times a week and I am introducing running in to my life style which is something I never thought I would do.
So as we embark on the August challenge wether this is your first or 6th round you can do it, we all have bad days, we all struggle and we all have moments where we want to give up.
But if you are having one of those days we are here for you and will help you. If things feel like they are too much or too hard it is ok to just focus on one area of your weight loss journey so it doesn’t become too overwhelming.
