This recipe is a chocolatey, nutty fudge that is a real treat when you feel like something sweet. This recipe makes 8 serves and the serving size can’t be adjusted to ensure the recipe works out correctly.
Store leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge to share with the family or have some healthy snacks always at the ready.
Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups cocoa/cacao (50 grams)
  • 1/4 cups coconut oil (60 mls)
  • 2 tablespoons Tahini (40 grams)
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons almond butter (30 grams)nutrition
  • 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon (0.3 grams)
  • salt
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract (4 mls)
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup (60 mls)

Method

  • Line a small loaf pan with baking paper and set aside.
  • In a heavy based saucepan, combine coconut oil, tahini, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Stir over low heat until smooth and liquified.
  • Remove from heat and stir in cacao. Pour into lined tin and smooth surface.
  • Refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours, then remove from pan and cut into 8 slices.
  • Store in fridge or freezer (will last for a week or more in an air tight container in the fridge).
