Hi, my name is Alex and I’m one of the motivating mums for the 100 days to Summer countdown. I’m a mum of one and a step mum of two. I work full time as a mum and part time as a primary school teacher.
I’ve lost a total of 16.3 kgs* since I first started Lose Baby Weight and a total of 83.5 cm from my body.
Since the start of the summer countdown I’ve lost 7.5 kgs and over 25 cm from my body.
Let’s talk about exercise. Exercise is only part of losing weight but I think it is really important to be fit and healthy.
I want to be a size 14 and fit! I want to run around the backyard chasing my daughter, hearing her squeal with delight when I catch her.

I don’t want to be the mum who takes a few steps and is out of breath. I want to go hiking with my partner (his passion) without him having to take it easy for me.
So I really have started pushing my exercise. At first I was just doing the challenge exercises at night. Now each week I do the challenge exercises, the LBW DVD, attend boot camp, attend aqua aerobics, walk 3.5kms every night, and have my own little boot camp session in my home gym.
Phew- that makes my life very busy. But do I miss out of family time because of it? No way!

My boot camp is family friendly, my daughter dances around with me during the DVD, my partner and daughter come on my walks and my partner has starting using our gym at the same time as me.
Has my weight suddenly dropped since doing the exercises? No. Do I care? No. Why? Because I feel fitter, I’m starting to form arm muscles, my thighs are getting tighter and I’m starting to see definition.
What results am I seeing? My measurements are dropping again! 83.5 cm lost from my body since starting Lose Baby Weight, now that is something to be proud of!
I now understand why people exercise. The refreshed feeling you get after a workout, the better night sleeps you get, the time you spend outdoors in the fresh air and the confidence you feel.
Did I ever think I would be saying these words? No way! I’m so proud of myself and I can’t wait to see what this exercise journey brings.
