Motivating Mum Lizzie McSorely has lost an amazing 7.6kgs with Lose Baby Weight and talks about hitting a plateau.
Lizzie

My name is Lizzie and I am a first time Mummy of an 8 month old baby girl.  I am 176cm tall and my starting weight was 109kg on the 6th of November 2014. I was a member of the November 2014 28 Day Challenge and a current member of the January challenge and have overall lost 7.6kg.
I am really happy with my weight loss to date; however, I have hit a plateau. Since 22 December 2014 (3 weeks) I have been ‘101.something’ kg.  It has been quite frustrating as I am not even one third of the way through my weight loss and this has occurred.
Although, I am super frustrated about my plateau, I am not allowing myself to give up. It’s just not an option. It has had the opposite effect, I am more determined and motivated than I have ever been.  A lot of my motivation has come from The Healthy Mummy Facebook page, there is just so much inspiration and support from like-minded people.
My exercise regime this week has happened when my bubba has her sleeps. The old me would do some cleaning or get some chores done, but now that can wait.  Over the week, I mix it up with a bit of treadmill exercise, the healthy mummy post pregnancy work out DVD and the 28 Day Challenge exercises.  The Healthy Mummy DVD alone is great, I have never been a work out DVD person but I am so happy with it that I love using it and I don’t get bored.
I have found week one meals of the challenge to be very satisfying and my hubby has enjoyed them (and enjoyed cooking them too).  Lose Baby Weight has totally transformed my pantry, it’s now full of nutrient rich food that I actually enjoy more than the rubbish I used to eat. Having my hubby on board makes it so much easier, as we are enjoying the journey together as a team and a united front I guess you could say. If your spouses aren’t on board though, don’t allow them to get you down, it’s their loss if they are CHOOSING to be an unhealthy version of themselves.

Since losing my 7.6kg, I have noticed my body has already transformed remarkably. This week me mind is also changing, as my perception of how I see myself is becoming more positive. I am allowing myself to feel comfortable in my skin. I actually liked what I looked like in photos of myself this week (I actually wanted to be in photos this week). I know I have a long way to go, but I already feel so much more comfortable which I owe a big thank you to Lose Baby Weight.
Overall, my plateau is teaching me to be happy with my progress and is motivating me to stay accountable and on track to my overall goal of 80kg. I am learning that losing the weight is only one part of this journey, the fact I am exercising more often and I am actually feeling better about how I am looking or starting to look means that I have already come so far in so little time.
If you have hit a plateau aswell, push through it, look for the positive in it and you will come out on top.
