Hi Healthy Mummy’s! I have been one of your motivating mums for July and I have lost 32kgs* with Lose Baby Weight.
We are nearly at the end of July! Another 28 day challenge nearly done and dusted.

I hope that everyone is well on track to reaching their goals for July. I have to say that although I haven’t lost as much weight as I had hoped, with one week left I have already reached my 80km walking goal.
So today I want to talk about Motivation! What keeps me going and powering through.
When I fell pregnant and I was thinking about the type of mum I wanted to be, I imagined a fun, happy, healthy mum that joined in on games, running around at the park and a mum that wasn’t sitting on the sidelines.
Unfortunately weighing 113kgs I wasn’t the mum I wanted to be. When my son was about 8 months old I decided it was time to be the mum I wanted to be and pictured being.
I was still wearing my maternity clothes and was incredibly unhappy and uncomfortable.
When I found the Lose Baby Weight 28 day challenge in November 2014, my husband thought this would be one of those ‘fad’ diets that I had started in the past and never completed because I gave up.

My Lose Baby Weight journey is still going strong, 9 months on and 32kgs* down.
The way I think about food and exercise now has completely changed and I am the happiest, healthiest and smallest I have ever been.
My motivation is my son! He makes me happy. He is such an active, cheeky 18 month old and I want to play at the park with him, join in on ball games, and roll around on the floor with him. I am sure that he loves it just as much as I do.
The other part of my motivation comes from even further within myself.
I want to ‘stick it’ to everyone who thought I couldn’t do it. To everyone who has always known me as being ‘overweight.’ I want to ‘stick it’ to my inner fat girl who thinks that she isn’t good enough to look good.
It is really hard to find motivation when my weight loss is slowing as I get closer to my goal; however I just keep reminding myself of how far I have already come. I am already 90% there!!!!
So let’s keep reminding ourselves of the reasons we are doing this. What inspires and motivates us to be the happiest and healthiest versions of ourselves!!!!
