We are well into January so the silly season has officially come to a close! For the first time I think ever I didn’t go crazy on the food and alcohol, I still enjoyed some treats in moderation but steered clear of any soft drink or alcohols and I couldn’t be prouder!

I ended 2015 with a 1kg loss bringing me to a grand total if 20.1kgs gone since joining healthy mummy & Lose baby weight.
I couldn’t be happier with that result but am aiming bigger & higher for 2016.
I’m hoping to shed another 45kgs by the end of the year but have set myself a series of non weight loss related goals to keep myself on track. one of which is to resist the temptation of a weekly weigh & measure.
Since deciding to weigh monthly i can truly say I am happier. No longer am I letting a number determine how my week will be!
It’s one number and to be fair its a rather inaccurate measure of ones progress.
Without the constant thought of a weigh in I’ve been able to focus on enjoying my journey and celebrating my small achievements instead.

Just recently i started wearing shorter more fitted patterned dresses! 4 months ago I lived in black oversized clothes that covered as much of my body as possible!
I have thoroughly enjoyed the confidence I am gaining with every little step!
Since being on the 28 day challenge I have learnt to love and accept my body.
I no longer have stretch marks I see them as tiger stripes a beautiful reminder of the hard work my body did housing 2 beautiful babies.
I have wobbly, flabby and jiggly bits but that’s ok I’m finally at piece with that. I’m not striving for perfection in my body I aiming for a healthy happy lifestyle- one where I can chase after my boys, not be afraid to get involved and be a better mother and wife. to me that’s more important  than any collar bone, thigh gap, or 6 pack a “perfect” body could give me.
Without the ease and convenience of the 28day challenge & smoothies I would still be walking through life looking at my feet- today I run through life with my head held high!
