I’ve lost a total of 25kg since I started my journey with lose baby weight and the healthy mummy.
I’ve been maintaining this weight loss for a few months now by using all the knowledge I have gained about nutrition and health since I started down this path over a year ago.
Lose Baby Weight-25kg Loss

I adore all things that this company offers, in particular the 28 day weightloss challenge and the healthy mummy smoothies (I’m a self declared smoothie addict! Love love them!).
The challenge now has such an incredible array of recipes that I never get bored with food.  I can always find something to suit my taste and budget, it’s always delicious and I know that it’s great for my health!
I still get excited to customise my meal plans and I’m really looking forward to what is to come in the December challenge.
For this blog I’d like to talk a little about my mindset and how I have come to view my healthy lifestyle.

Because that’s what it has become for me, a lifestyle.  Not a quick fix and definitely not something I’ll do for a while to lose weight and then go back to how I treated my body before.
For this to be a long term, sustainable lifestyle it has to be realistic for me.  And the reality is that life is not perfect or predictable.  Nor should it be about missing out on those things in life that we enjoy, such as a night out with friends or a not-so-healthy hamburger.
It’s about a balance.  About eating that hamburger occasionally and making your next meal a big salad or about having that night out with mates and then drinking tons of water the next day to flush it out.
It’s about making conscious choices, owning them and having no guilt for doing so.
Often in this weight loss and health arena you hear alot about bandwagons; “jumping on the bandwagon” or “falling off the bandwagon”.
For me, I personally don’t subscribe to the bandwagon way of thinking.
To me “falling off” something symbolises pain; it implies that perfection is needed or else you’ve failed.

It also implies that my healthy lifestyle is something that someone else is driving rather than me being in control.
So rather than bandwagons, I prefer to think of my healthy lifestyle as a long winding road.  Sometimes it has detours but it will always lead back to the same path.
I’ve had many occasions over the past 18 months where I’ve made choices that were far from perfect health wise.
But I’m here to enjoy my life and I refuse to live it beating myself up for having a good time.
No punishment or guilt here, just acceptance.
It’s about perspective I think, and one weekend (or one week, one month etc) of less than perfect choices does not mean I have failed.
After all, as Annie says “the sun will come out tomorrow” (who doesn’t love a good musical?!), and she was right!
Every day you get a new opportunity to make it count and live your best life.  I am on this healthy journey for life and I intend on making it a well balanced and happy one!
Love Jackie xx
