Hi, my name is Alex and I’m one of the motivating mums for the 100 days to Summer countdown and I have lost 15kgs* with Lose Baby Weight.
I’m a mum of one and a step mum of two. I work full time as a mum and part time as a primary school teacher.
Lose Baby Weight-15kgs Loss

I’ve lost a total of 15 kgs since I first started Lose Baby Weight and a total of 66.5cm from my body. Since the start of the summer countdown I’ve lost 6.2kgs and a total of 19.5cm from my body.
I lose weight slowly, which many people can relate to. I find it hard to shift weight, so I don’t focus on the scales, I focus on all the non-scale victories (NSV) I have instead.
My NSV’s make me feel fantastic and help give me the boost and push I need to continue on the Lose Baby Weigjht journey.

Some of my NSV’s include:

  • My partner can now put his arms around me and hold onto his wrists without squeezing me to death.
  • I fit into 3 dresses from my pre pregnancy days and they look good!
  • I purchased two size 14 tops from my favourite shop without trying them on and they fit!
  • My bathers are falling off of me which means more shopping!!!
  • I can run for a 1km without stopping
  • People compliment on how good I’m looking
  • I love taking selfies (never thought I’d say that) and love having photos with my family now
  • I purchased my first op shop top which was exciting as I could never find anything I liked that would fit me!

However, the most important non-scale victory I’ve had is my confidence. I have noticed I’m more confident and eager to try new things.
I went to my first boot camp on the weekend and loved it.

Before Lose Baby Weight I would have told my friends I was going but then make a lame excuse last minute not to go as I would be afraid of what people would say or think of me while I was at boot camp.
Now I realise that everyone is there for the same reason; to get fit. And I am right there alongside them joining in.
What is next for me?
Continue to follow the Lose Baby Weight challenges, aim to lose 5kgs before Christmas, attend an adventure camp with students from school and actually do the activities, and continue with my positive attitude towards food, fitness and my general well-being.
