Hi my name is Tawhai Duffy and I have been following Lose Baby Weight and The Healthy Mummy for nearly 14 months now and I have lost 46kgs*.

Weight has always been an issue for me. Since I moved out of home and went to University at 18 years old, suddenly I could eat whatever I wanted and I did.
Through the years I knew needed to make changes to become healthier and lose weight but I would always give up after a few weeks or a few months.
Then feel even worse when my clothes become too tight or my weight going up again.
This was until I found Lose Baby Weight and The Healthy Mummy in August 2014 at 30 years old when my daughter was 2 years old.
As soon as I read what the 28 Day Challenges were I signed up straight away.
It wasn’t some quick weight loss scheme but good nutritious food, smoothies and exercise.
I was so excited and nervous to get started and try all the delicious recipes and also become fitter and stronger with the exercises.
I started with a smoothie for breakfast because I would usually skip it and followed the menu for the other meals and snacks.

I can’t express how much Lose Baby Weight and The Healthy Mummy have helped me to become fitter, healthier, happier and also the smallest I have been in my life.
I started weighing 115kgs in August 2014 and reached 69kgs just under my goal of 70kgs in July 2015. Losing 46kgs, many cms and 5/6 dress sizes in that 11 months.
I was worried that when I started maintaining I would lose motivation to eat well and exercise not having a number on the scales to achieve but I have found my feet now. Healthy eating is a way of life for me and my family.

I have fitness goals that I am focusing on now and trying hard to achieve. I have never enjoyed exercise especially being the size I was, I was so uncomfortable.
Now it is an essential part of my life, not just for my physical wellbeing but my mental wellbeing also.
Where ever you are in your journey, well done and keep going. As long as you keep trying to achieve your individual goals you are succeeding no matter what the scales say.
