Hi, my name is Tamara and I am a 27 year old mummy of a very active and very cheeky 16 month old little boy.
I have been overweight my entire life! I know everyone says that but truly I have been.
My weight started spiralling out of control when my parents got divorced at the age of 12. When I was 16, weighing 100kgs I was signed up to Weight Watchers!
Needless to say it didn’t work and only being 16, I definitely didn’t have the mindset to lose weight.
I then started uni and my weight got even worse with the terrible uni food, large amounts of partying and alcohol. At the age of 19, I signed myself up to Tony Ferguson weighing 116kgs. I truly thought this was the most I would ever weigh and using this program over 6 months I lost 26 kgs and made it to 90kgs. 90kgs has always been my plateau point.
This lifestyle was really difficult to maintain and during this time I met my husband to be, moved away from my family in North QLD to Sydney to be with my husband and ended up putting on 10kgs of the 26kgs I had lost.
Being away from my family and friends took its toll, along with a high stress job. I then joined Weight Watchers again in the hope to finally lose the weight I needed to be healthy. I was also engaged and didn’t want to be big on my wedding day. I lost 10kgs again, and plateaued at 90kgs.
Unfortunately I just didn’t have the motivation to lose weight for my wedding and was ‘all talk.’ I got married at 100kgs in 2013 and then fell pregnant.
When I look back at photos of my pregnancy I feel so ashamed that I let myself get to that size. I put on 23kgs during and at full term weighed 123kgs. I was uncomfortable and unhealthy.

I now can not believe that I had not only put my own life at risk by being so overweight but also the life of my unborn baby. Because of my weight I wasn’t even able to give birth at my local hospital and instead had to give birth at a hospital in the next area over ‘just in case something went wrong during the birth.
When I first saw Lose Baby Weight and the success people were having I was a bit skeptical and thought hmmm could I do this? Can I change my life this much to shift the weight? I followed the Facebook page for a little while just watching it.
In September 2014 I started eating better and walking and managed to shift 5 kgs myself. In November 2014, weighing 113kgs I signed up for my first Lose Baby Weight 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and I haven’t looked back.
I have since lost 26 kgs and currently weigh 87kgs. I want to lose another 12kgs and when I get to 75kgs reassess my goal.
The Lose Baby Weight recipes and exercises have not only changed my life, but also my son’s life.
I have only recently started on the Healthy Mummy Smoothies and I LOVE them. All of the Lose Baby Weight  plans and products are easy to use and fit in with my busy life as a mummy and working part time.
I think my motivation this time has been my son and knowing I am making a better life for him and future for me. I have even managed to push past that 90kg plateau I always hit.
I am even looking forward to trying for another baby and having a much healthier pregnancy second time round.
