It’s a mid month check in ladies.
We’re nearly two weeks (give or take a few days) into June now, and it’s just dawned on me that I’ve done hardly any exercise (aside from chasing the kids around the house). The weather has turned a bit cool in Queensland and I’ve definitely used it as an excuse to do nothing. My eating has mainly been 90% on point; I haven’t had a Costco Pizza since I became Motivating Mum, which is a small win in the big scheme. Winter Warrior Motivating Mum Steph Has Nearly Reached Her Goal Weight!
The cold weather excuse will not cut it anymore. Yesterday I went for two walks with the kids in the double pram, as well as wearing my 5 month old. I felt so much better, not only physically, but also mentally. I’ve realised that when I do nothing to move my body, I feel angry, impatient and I’m not a very nice person to be around. I felt sorry for my kids and husband.

At the end of July, I’m registered to take part in the Stadium Stomp at the Gabba in Brisbane. This event consists of climbing up and down over 5,000 stairs. I’ve decided as hard as it is to stair train with 3 little children, I will start my training now. Yesterday I did 10 laps up and down my stairs at home (16 steps up and 16 down – total 32 per lap). I will continue to increase the amounts of times I climb the stairs. I think I would need to go up and down the staircase about 157 times to have done 5000 stairs. WOW!!! I should have legs and buns of steel!
I took a progress picture this morning. I’m amazingly only 100g away from 15kg lost while following The Healthy Mummy 28 Day Challenges and smoothies and I’m only 300g away from my goal weight of 62.0kg. I’m in the best shape of my life, I think I look amazing – especially clothed – yet I still feel critical of myself – stupid I know.
My goal for the next couple of weeks is to point out something to myself everyday that I love about me.
Today I am pointing out that I love my stomach – it’s carried 3 children within 4 yrs and I think it looks damn fine for having done so. I urge you to all find something about yourself / your body that you love every day too. After all, a healthy body without a healthy mind is useless.
Keep up the amazing work ladies. If I can achieve great things, so can you.
Steph xx
