Hi mums! I am Rae- one of your motivating mums for April and I have lost 15kgs with Lose Baby Weight.
This is my middle of the month check in.
Lose Baby Weight- 15kg Loss
It is filled with good intentions. I had such high hopes for April. I was prepared and excited and ready.
Then we decided that sleep was for the weak at our house and I am so mentally fragile it isn’t funny.
I have sticky tape holding me together at the minute; not the good brand either, the cheap $2 shop stuff that has gotten a little fluffy and less adhesive over time.
Sleep deprivation is a form of torture.
It is hell.
My baby is 7 months old and teeth are popping up everywhere and we have had the cold that decided that one round of the family wasn’t enough so it would come right back around and knock us all down one by one again. I hate that cold. That cold sucks!
I have a beautiful little ponder spot in my garden, it has a stunning view of the Dandenong ranges and I do my best work looking out over them and thinking.
I haven’t had a chance to get out there yet but I need to. I need to take out a pen and paper and get to refocusing and set myself a plan.
I have been making lazy food choices and it has got to stop. My only real constant has been my daily Healthy Mummy smoothies. No matter what happens I will always have my smoothies.
Being a mum is hard work. Being a women is hard work.
We really did get the best and the worst of it didn’t we?
Hormones, lack of sleep, an inability to wee in peace, days wearing the same clothes with that hair that needs to be washed and a mountain of dirty clothes that just never seems to disappear no matter how many times you include it in your prayers….
There are days when I want to get in my car and just drive to the nearest motel for a week of alone time… and then that one smile, or mispronounced word hits ya and you know that you are in fact exactly where you want to be….
I have used the support group so many times recently to share my struggles and every time I have asked for help I have been showered in love and similar stories and it makes me feel so much better. There is never any judgement. If you haven’t joined the national support group then you need to.
The Healthy Mummy have gone so far past being just a weight loss company.
They have created a community of women who have each others back. Who know that some days are hard work and eating that block of chocolate or feeding your kids scrambled eggs for the fourth time in a week doesn’t make you a terrible Healthy Mummy, it makes you real one.
