My name is Rachel, and I have lost 24kgs with Lose Baby Weight.
I have been a participant in the 28 Day Challenge  since January 2015. I am a full time working mum of two young, beautiful boys currently living in Brisbane with hubby and our pooch.

I have always been overweight. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t.  I was never a sporty kid; I was a self-conscious overweight teenager and in turn, after two kids, ended up an obese adult.
After the birth of my second child, I was suffering from mild post-natal depression. It’s a horrible little pit to fall into and I was miserable all of the time.
Several months went by until I started to feel as if I could take positive action, and my googling led me here to Lose Baby Weight
I weighed in at 94kgs on the first of January, 2015. I was disgusted but determined! I had nothing to lose but the weight, so I threw myself into the challenge.
My husband was thrilled with the meals! This was a road we had been down before, and he was always left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. Not with Lose Baby Weight!
In my first challenge I lost 5kgs. The exercises were manageable; the food was great, the family was happy!
At the time, the challenges only ran month on month off, so I continued and re-used the meal plan for February. Lost another 4 kgs! The weight was falling off and I couldn’t be happier!

In total, I lost 31kgs and reached my goal weight of 63kgs. 8 months of dedication got me there and I was thrilled. I felt confident and sexy and fit! I had started running in June, just the weekly park run sessions, and that was (and still is) my favourite form of exercise.

Unfortunately, come December I began to rest on my laurels and slipped back into old habits. I was binge eating chocolate again. Drinking alcohol more than I should, not exercising, the usual stuff.
December flowed into January which flowed into February and March. I had a shock lately when I got back on the scales at saw I had crept up to 70kgs. I feel squishy in the middle again.
I don’t feel as fit and healthy as I did. So this month for me is about regaining control of my life and my body! My scales shock came a couple of weeks ago so I have been slowly putting the pieces together again to get me back on track. Also, goal weight or no goal weight, I ran my first ever 10k on Easter Sunday!!!
The old me would never have considered that as an option. I am so happy I don’t know that woman anymore!
My big goal for this year is to run the City to Surf 14k run in August. I cannot wait to achieve it! I am going to attempt a 10k a few more times between now and then.
Basically, The Healthy Mummy has changed my life. Yes, I slipped, but you know what? I have gotten straight back up and I am confident I have all the tools I need to shift this weight for good!
