If there’s one thing we always have in the pantry in this house, it’s cans of sweet corn.
This is probably due in equal parts to my lose baby weight eating plan (corn makes a fantastic salad filler) and the fact it’s often on special when I hit the supermarket.
I’m not entirely sure why I need quite so many cans, but it does come in useful when you’ve got the bare minimum of ingredients and need to whip up something quick, healthy and family friendly.

Have you ever wondered when is the right time to let your baby sleep alone? As a new mum, we understand that you want to keep your young one by your side at all times.
It is only natural that you want to hold your baby in your arms from the moment they come out to greet the world and there are many opinions on the benefits of co sleeping. However, if you don’t want to co-sleep with your baby, you can choose to let your baby sleep in a cot or a Moses bed next to your bed.
This also helps build the baby’s independence and awareness of sleeping and waking times.

It has come to my attention this morning that we are already in November! How did that happen and where did the past 11 months go?
Christmas is just around the corner, bringing with it the endless parties, family catch ups and beach holidays that make the festive season so wonderful.
This time of year can be a tricky one to navigate though, especially when trying to lose weight or follow a healthy eating or weight loss plan.

Hi Lose Baby Weight. I wanted to send in my pregnancy weight loss story after being on your Lose Baby Weight Plans and Healthy Mummy Smoothies.
I’m still not finished on this journey, but I’m almost there..
I’m Shae I’m 30 year old a mum of 4 children – 7 year old, 5 year old, 2.5 year old & 7mths.
I never had to struggle with weight before I fell pregnant, I was 45kg at 22 years old & too skinny, but I was obsessed with weight, very unhealthy.
When I fell pregnant I gained a whopping 50kg, I was 95kg on the scales when I was in hospital, such a low point in my life, when I was also experiencing one of the best days of my life, my 1st daughter.
Since then I’ve fluctuated, stayed around the 83kg-89kg except in pregnancy I’d get to 95kg again.

Hi Lose Baby Weight, I really want to let you know about the fantastic results I have had with your delicious healthy mummy smoothies and following your pregnancy weight loss plans.
I have been using the Healthy Mummy smoothies for 3 weeks now and I have already lost 5.1kg, I am so excited and cannot believe how easy it has been to lose the weight.
I have two children, a boy 6 and a little girl, who has just turned 3. When I found your website I was not sure if the smoothies would work for me as I my children are a bit older and I am not breastfeeding.
But I think my results show that even if you have been carrying around your baby weight for a few years the healthy mummy smoothies still work and I am shedding the kilos to prove it!
When I felll pregnant the second time I recieved some scary news that have made the last 3 years quite stressful for us. I had a pap smear when I had just found out I was pregnant, assuming like all my other pap smears it would return normal results, however when I was 4 weeks pregnant my doctor rang to tell me that some cancerous cells were found on my cervix.

If you’re looking for a quick, healthy midweek meal, while trying to lose weight look no further than the salmon fishcake.
Fish, especially the oily variety, is an important food to include in your diet.
When you’re under the pump though, it can be a tricky item to prepare quickly.
Especially when you’re looking for a way that will appeal to the whole family!

Hi Lose Baby Weight
I am sending in this recipe as an entry for the smoothie recipe of the week.
With Mangoes in season (yay!), I thought I would make a refreshing dairy free mango smoothie.

If there’s one thing that can put a healthy eating and weight loss plan to the test, it’s a teething baby. There’s the sleepless nights, the whinging and the intermittent tears. And that’s just mum and dad.
While newborns are born with tiny tooth buds under the gum, they don’t usually make their presence felt till around the six month mark, though many babies may start earlier (my son cut his first tooth at four months old).

Sometimes we all get cravings and if we are tired it can often mean we end up ordering a takeaway, which is obviously not a great idea if you are trying to lose pregnancy weight and not great if you are trying to follow a healthy eating plan.
But if you are going to order a takeaway then make sure you have a look at what are the healthiest ones to have here. And another option – if it is a curry you are craving is to make this healthy eating version of chicken tikka masala – we hope you enjoy!

Organising play dates for your baby is an amazing way to get some time to relax, and it also gives you the opportunity to interact with other mums to share insights on how to manage your newborn or even chat about how to lose baby weight.
In addition, play dates can help your child develop key skills such as independence, communication, creativity, curiosity and problem-solving. It can also free up some time for you to do some post pregnancy workouts!
Be creative with the play dates and get other mums to go for walks in the park with baby strollers or go for an outing at the zoo. Depending on the age of your baby, many parks have fun playgrounds and picnic areas for children to play in.
We all need someone to talk to from time to time and getting social with other parents can help you build long-lasting friendships. Not only that, they can also double as support pillars to help you on your new mummy journey.
