I have been following the Lose Baby Weight program since October last year and in the past 7 months I have lost 14.5kg – This may not sound like a lot to some but I’m a shorty at just 156cm tall and every extra kilo I was carrying, felt like a LOT to me!!

I started my Lose Baby Weight journey using recipes from the free recipe hub on the website. I loved how easy the meals were to prepare and thought I could really give this program a go.
So I then purchased the 28day diet & exercise plan ebook and for 2 months formed new healthier eating habits at my own pace. Feeling committed and determined to make a change, I signed up for the Jan 28 day challenge and haven’t looked back! These challenges really kicked things up a gear for me!
During this time I came across The Healthy Mummy & Lose Baby Weight Facebook Support Page – it is full of 1000’s of supportive, understanding, helpful, motivating and inspiring like-minded women on the same journey.  I’ve made a bunch of close friends through this group and being able to work through the hard times and celebrate our successes with other mums has been amazing.
If you haven’t joined this group I cannot encourage you enough!
Lose Baby Weight- Challenge
I originally set myself a goal weight of 60kg, and I was ecstatic to reach this goal in February this year. I felt fit, healthy and happy.
In the past 3 months I have continued my healthy eating habits and focused on my new found love of running! I still marvel at the fact I can call myself a runner!
I now weigh between 55-56kg and my focus has turned from weight loss to maintaining my weight. This is still a new concept to me and I am learning about eating a little more of the right food and strengthening my body for distance running.
In December 2014, I could not run more than 200m without being out of breath.
So I walked/jogged. Slowly I increased my jogging and reduced my walking.
What worked for me was setting small achievable goals so I wouldn’t fail. I worked towards 5km, 8km, 10km and then some awesome (but I thought they were crazy at the time!) mums on the support page told me I’d be able to run a half marathon!
So here I am in May 2015 running 2-4 times a week (whatever works with my family life) and training for my first half marathon in August!
I’m nervous, excited and loving the challenge!
