I’m Libby, and I’m a Mum of 2 and I have lost 12kg thanks to Lose Baby Weight and I am here to motivate and inspire you throughout May.
Lose Baby Weight-12kg Loss
I am run off my feet most days of the week, and have three days “rest” working in the health industry.
I have been overweight my whole life; I had an aversion to exercise growing up, and half-heartedly tried various fads, while secretly binging on sweets and chocolates whenever I could.
In 2004 I was diagnosed with PCOS (it was suspected at 16 in 1997) and I thought my dreams of motherhood and losing weight were ruined – well, I’ve proven myself wrong now, haven’t I!
I came across Lose Baby Weight in my Facebook newsfeed after a friend had liked the company, so I looked into it, bought some Healthy Mummy smoothie tubs and joined the Lose Baby Weight 28 Day Challenge in September 2014, weighing 76.5kg.
I didn’t really give myself the time to get to know the Lose Baby Weight 28 Day Challenge and what it had to offer until December.

I was enjoying my Healthy Mummy Smoothies, but that wasn’t enough.  I needed a kick in the pants.
So from January, I have been committed and followed the 28 Day Challenge.
I began taking progress photos and recording my measurements.  I regularly check in on the private Facebook support group; offer my advice to ladies, ask questions of my own, and share my story and successes in celebration and in hope of motivating others to do the same.
I still enjoy my Healthy Mummy Smoothies for breakfast nearly every day, and LOVE trying all the different recipes from the website and Challenge.
I take advantage of the meal plan customisation, to create meal plans to suit my family, lifestyle and budget.
My son is still nursing 2-3 times per day, so I am still mostly cow’s milk free for his benefit.

I allowed my gym membership to lapse when I returned to work in March. I fit in some segments of the Healthy Mummy post-natal exercise DVD when I can, and can usually be found in front of the TV most evenings, pumping out that day’s Challenge exercises and/or the Tone Your Butt & Thighs 30 Day Challenge.
I also fit incidental exercises into my day when I can – lunges while brushing my teeth, kitchen bench push-ups while cooking, squats (or today, planks!) while retrieving patient charts from the file room at work.
I have developed a love of squats, so I do them whenever I can!  A weakness of mine would be sleep – I try to fit so much into my day that I don’t get anywhere near enough sleep (which is terrible for someone whose children sleep really well!), so I need to improve on that.
Along my journey, I have learned so much about myself and my limits.
I am constantly amazed at the things I am capable of – never did I imagine weighing 65kg, let alone getting close to 60kg, which is my big (next) goal!
I currently weigh 64.5kg, having lost 12kg since discovering Lose Baby Weight in September (10.1 of those since January), and am the lightest I have been since puberty!

I am happy, healthy and have so much energy!
This coming month, as well as challenging myself to go to bed earlier, I will be focusing on toning and reducing my tummy.  My belly and ever-present “overhang” has always been central to my negative body image and, while it has shrunk with my weightloss, it’s still very much my focus when I see myself in the mirror.
I have been looking so much forward to the May Belly Buster Challenge, and am so excited to be a Motivating Mum for all you wonderful ladies during this Challenge!
I have gained so much from the Lose Baby Weight Support Group, so I am honoured to be able to give back this month.
I respect and admire all the Motivating and motivated Mums, and will commit to you all as much (even more!) as I have committed to myself this year!
Libby xx
