I’m especially excited to be an April motivating mum as April is my favourite month of the year, I turn 32 early in the month then celebrate my fifth wedding anniversary mid month, it’s a great time to highlight how you can be healthy and still celebrate!

So how can you be healthy and celebrate? Let’s start with my birthday. We are going to do a family trip to the zoo but there will be no junky takeaway options for the Flanagan four!
I’ll be pre making snacks, salad wraps and bringing water. It’ll taste so much nicer, save money and be much better on my waistline.
As for cake I’ll be handing hubby a copy of the healthy mummy birthday cake ebook and he can go crazy with one of the super easy, refined sugar free cake recipes that then even my toddler will be able to enjoy.
For our five year wedding anniversary the Flanagan four (which includes my 2.5 year old son and 7 month old daughter) are going away to the Victorian high country for a few days.
Again with a little organisation we’ll be eating healthy meals so we have plenty of energy for walking, fishing and lots of family fun.
I’ll be packing the trusty blend and go so we can still start our day with a healthy breakfast smoothie and then easy meals from the challenge like pesto pasta or ham and salad wraps will make fantastic lunches and dinners.
Celebrating special events doesn’t mean you have to turn your back on healthy eating if you don’t want to.
Bring healthy with you everywhere, make it part of who you are and it won’t feel like a burden or diet it’ll just feel like life and your life will be so much longer and energy filled for it.
