WOW, this is my final blog, so that only means one thing – my time as July Motivating Mum is near to the end. I’m a little sad about it as the month has just flown by and I have loved and felt honored to have had this opportunity to help motivate you in some way – which I hope I have.
Kim is smashing her goals - running 4km and aiming for 5
Please remember ladies, take each day as it comes, the good, bad and in-between, but ALWAYS remember YOU ARE WORTH IT and YES you CAN and WILL do this – your race, your pace!
I had 2 aims for July –

  1. To stay on track and motivated during the school holidays. Safe to say you have ALL helped me stay on track, but I am looking forward to more structure and routine to my day!
  2. To break this rotten plateau I’ve been stuck on for 2+ months. I’m ecstatic to say my numbers have moved, not much, but they have moved!! Yay – totally stoked!!

I have realised for my mental health part of this journey, I need to shift my focus and final goal from a specific number to something less destructive like a fitness goal / achievement. I am for the first time in my life happy and confident with who I am. It is the best feeling ever, so I DO NOT need the scales de-railing me anymore!
Ladies, this is really important, scales cannot measure physical changes, measurements lost and pure awesomeness which you all rock, so if you are starting to go backwards because of numbers, pull the batteries out, get someone to hide them or if you feel the need take to your scales with a hammer!!
July has also seen me break into the 4km running club and I am super focused for August to not only get a rocking tooshi but to crack the 5km, making my winter goal of 5kms non-stop MINE!!! I seriously cannot believe I smashed my first 4km run time by a whole 3 minutes – coming from a very unhealthy and unfit person for whom walking 1km was an absolute chore. So super proud – thanks to Libby Buttler – she is one of my running inspirations!
This month has seen me relive my list of favourite meals from the 28 Day Challenge, safe to say nothing has changed but it’s getting harder and harder as the list is continually growing. I am totally excited for AUGUST – new recipes – yay!!!
One more thing!! I am super excited to announce I have signed up for a 35km walk in Melbourne come October with one of the Healthy Mummy superstars, Nikola. The before me would have never ever thought about registering, but I am so excited that October cannot come quick enough!!
Break out of your comfort zones ladies – we are STRONG and WORTHY to live a fit and healthy life!!
Love and best wishes for your journeys,
Kim x

Now sitting at 63kg and aiming for 58kg and a whole lot more muscle.”
