Here is another submission for our Healthy Kids Recipes Competition that is running on our Private Facebook Support Group for REAL MUMS to send in their healthy and yummy baking recipes that are LOVED by their kids and can be enjoyed while following a healthy eating plan.
Today we have this recipe for you to try, Banana Weetbix Pancakes and a BIG Thank You to Margaret Small for submitting her recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 8 Weetbix
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Self Raising Flour
- 2 Bananas
- 1 cup Skim Milk
- 2 cups Water
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tablespoons honey
METHOD
- Place everything into the food processor and blitz for 2 minutes.
- Preheat frying pan.
- Melt a little coconut oil/lite nuttalex in the fry pan as a healthier alternative to butter.
- Now cook banana weetbix pancakes like you would cook normal pancakes, wait until small bubbles appear then flip and cook until golden
- ENJOY topped with your favourite toppings
Makes 16 Pikelet sized pancakes, 90 calories per pancake
