Hi! I’m a mum of two little kiddies, I have lost 15kg with Lose Baby Weight and I am looking forward to being a 100 days to summer motivating mum. I’m looking to give myself a big dose of motivation too to lose a few more kilos and tone up with more exercise.
Lose Baby Weight- 15kg Loss

I first signed up to the 28 Day Challenge at the start of March. I have lost 15kg by following the challenges and have another few kilos to go to reach the goal of my pre-pregnancy weight.
The decision to join the challenge was a last minute decision after seeing a Facebook post about it. I thought it would be good motivation to get me into cooking more while losing the pregnancy weight that just wasn’t shifting after having my second child five months earlier.
It was time to get serious as the weather was starting to cool down and I had very few clothing options that would fit once summer passed.
I remember feeling a bit disappointed in my first week by a 900g loss. I really wanted to crack that 1kg mark each week but in hindsight, I know that 500g-1kg is a safe weekly weight loss, especially while breastfeeding.
I went on to lose 10kg in 12 weeks. My weight loss since then has been slow but I am now in my healthy weight range. I’m certainly going to continue to eat the challenge meals as I love the variety and I can see my family using these recipes for years to come.

The area I need to do much better with is exercise.
Don’t get me wrong – I do like exercising! Between my pregnancies, I was the fittest I’ve been in my adult life and I was even getting close to running 5km. My second pregnancy totally kicked my butt though and I’ve had a slow recovery, still suffering from pubic symphysis, sore hips and a little bit of tummy separation.
So this has meant I can’t run yet and I can’t participate in the outdoor group exercise sessions that I loved pre-pregnancy. I’ve let this inability to do the exercise I want to do, stop me from consistently doing the exercise that I CAN safely do.
The challenge pilates is totally safe for me to do and I’ve been doing it much more lately. I also have the Healthy Mummy post-pregnancy exercise DVD and have done that first segment numerous times (but have been a bit chicken to try the rest).
So MY number one 100 days to summer goal is to exercise regularly to tone up my arms, strengthen my core, and become fitter and healthier. I hope I can help you reach your goals as I work towards mine.
My top five tips for getting ready for summer are all about planning!

  • Plan your weekly exercise
  • plan meals that fit in with your family commitments
  • plan your shopping time and meal prep
  • plan some relaxation time for yourself so you don’t burn out
  • drink plenty of water
