weight_loss2014 is the year to change your life.
If you’ve always wanted to do something – whether that is to lose weight, get fit, get toned, get healthy or even just to take up a hobby you’ve always wanted to do, now is the time to embrace that change and make a difference and the Lose Baby Weight plans can help you to achieve your health and fitness goals.
Often, when we decide we want our lives to be different, actually making the decision to change things up a bit can feel almost as difficult as actually implementing any changes.
For example, thinking “I’ve decided that I’m going to lose weight” can feel momentous, and sometimes just making that decision can make us feel as good as if we actually make the change.
New Year’s resolutions often fail – so try not to think of your decision to change as a resolution. Resolutions fail simply because they tend to be very vague – for example, saying “I want to lose weight” is all well and good, but if you don’t decide how you are going to do it and you don’t set yourself some attainable goals, it’s very difficult to push yourself to succeed. See our tips here on how to set your 2014 goals
Equally, we often take on resolutions that we aren’t actually planning to keep – for example, if our friends say that want to lose weight or get more toned, we might decide to do the same, even if the resolution isn’t something that we are interested in.
We also beat ourselves up if we don’t keep to our resolutions – no matter how vague they may be. For example, if we decide to lose weight, but we slip up and have a takeaway on January 2, it can lead to the “I’ve already broken the resolution, so I’ll carry on – I’ll start the diet on Monday” mentality.
Remembering that you’ll have good days and bad days and not letting one small slip up prevent you from continuing with your resolution will go a long way in making sure that you are successful.
Whatever it is that you want to change in your life in 2014, to be successful, you need to have an exact goal to work towards. If you want to lose weight, decide how much weight you want/need to lose. Think about when you’d like to lose the weight by – for example, you might have a family wedding to attend in the summer – and work out how much weight you need to lose each week to get there. Breaking down your end goal into small, manageable chunks will make it much easier for you to get there in the end.
Aside from a goal to work towards, you also need to work out how you’re going to get there. What is it that you need to change? What is it that you need to do to make 2014 your best year yet? Identifying the actions that you need to take to change your life will make it much easier for you to actually make those changes. If you want to lose weight, for example, a great place to start is to work out your BMI.
Click here to see how many calories you need to take in to maintain your current weight and BMI, and you can then either exercise more, eat less or if possible do both to take in fewer calories.
If you truly want 2014 to be different, you can make it different. It doesn’t have to be difficult – you need to identify an exact goal you want to work towards, or an exact change you want to make. Figure out how to get there and work your butt off to do it – and by 2015, you can be a whole new you.
