When it comes to healthy eating, it’s just not us mums that need healthy food for morning or afternoon tea. What we give our children as a sweet treat is important too as it can set them up for a day of learning and playing.
Today we have pulled together our favourite healthy options for tasty slices that are perfect for little ones (and adults too).

Unlike most snack type slices you would buy from the supermarket, these contain no added table sugar. Most are sweetened with honey, fruit or a small amount of sweetener – meaning your kids won’t experience the sugar high and lows.
Many also contain the goodness of coconut oil instead of butter, which keeps you feeling fuller for longer and has loads more health benefits (read all about those here).
Most of these slices contain nuts (either in whole form, chopped, or ground up as almond meal) so may be best eaten at home depending on the policy of your older children’s school.
