Having my boys 7 and a half years apart meant that I really didn’t know what to expect when it came to shedding the baby weight of my second child.
I was 22 years old when my first son was born and I don’t even remember thinking about trying to lose weight. I guess the genetics of a being 22 years old, being a first time mum and frantically trying to learn everything for the first time, weight loss was the last thing on my mind and luckily came quite naturally.
Being older this time round and having the thought of my 30th birthday looming over my head (coming up in December) I found my weight gain to be something that was eating at my self-esteem.
When my little one was 2 months old I found the courage to weigh myself and start thinking about losing some of my baby weight. I was devastated to see that the scales were sitting at 78kg – which meant I had 13kgs to reach my pre-baby weight. I tried a few eating plans which mainly consisted of high protein regimes which I found very restrictive and very depressing only providing minimal results.
Less than a month ago whilst looking through Facebook one of my friends had liked your page and I thought I would do some investigating. It only took me a few days to make the decision to purchase your healthy mummy smoothies.
In 3 weeks I have lost 5kgs and I am finally fitting into some of my old clothes. Losing some of the chubbiness in my face gave me the confidence to cut my hair – which I donated to a company that makes wigs for women fighting cancer.
I feel so empowered and I’m finally starting to feel like ‘myself’ again. I’m still 5kgs off where I want to be but I know with your Lose Baby Weight plans and Healthy Mummy Smoothies I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
