Hi mums, I am Caitlin and I am one of your motivating mums. I have lost 26kgs* with Lose Baby Weight.
Lose baby Weight-26kg loss

Travelling with a infant always is a stressful experience well it is for me because I do it alone. For us it’s a long drive from our house to the airport. Managing a now walking 14 month old around a busy terminal a 2 hour flight and another few hours drive back to my parents.

One thing that I always find difficult while travelling is organising healthy snacks and meals while in the car and not having my favourite go to meals available to me.
With all the unhealthy foods available at the airport and service stations not to mention drive through its easy to see how poor choices can be made. Lucky for me my husband was super organised and made my Healthy Mummy Smoothie before I left for the airport and packed me some of the Choc Lentil Balls I had in the fridge from the week. Because I wasn’t hungry I was happily able to wait for my flight without the temptation unhealthy junk.
Fast forward a few hours and we had arrived at our destination.
Being on holidays for a week and going to 3 different locations I knew I wasn’t going to be following the challenge like I usually do. I did pack my blender and smoothie powder. I know if I start off with my smoothie In the morning I’m set for the day.
My family are generally good healthy eaters so I was able to use this and the weather to my advantage. Salad sandwiches for lunch and a BBQ for dinner most nights. Over the first few days I was really happy with my meal choices and what I was eating because holidays were usually a blow out time for me. I was also able to go shopping and get a few new things for my kitchen I’ve been wanting for a while.
Knowing I wasn’t being as strict with my meal Plan I knew it was time to step up the exercise.
Being at the beach made exercising so much fun. I ran on the beach and did my challenge exercises on the sand. Long walks in the evening were amazing looking at the sunset over the water. Didn’t even feel like I was doing any exercise.
healthy eating meal plans
We had friends over for dinner and I made Mexican Lasagne which was the biggest crowd pleaser.
They couldn’t believe it when I said it was a healthy recipe. I also made beef stroganoff my dad and brother loved that as well.
After a week of holidays I was thinking and looking back at my food choices and so happy with how far I’ve come since joining The 28 day challenges. The old me would of never asked for no hot chips with my steak and would of always ordered soft drink and dessert to finish.
I came home happy and not feeling guilty about what I had eaten.
I’m also so pleased with the message this sends to my family and son. It’s ok to go away and have some treats but being away from home isn’t an excuse to go overboard and then regret your choices when you get on the scales.
When I returned home I was very happy to have a 1.7kgs loss over 2 weeks.
It showed me that’s it’s ok to have weeks when I’m not strict on the plan but always reminded me how far I’ve come with my food choices and exercise regime.
Now down 26kgs I look forward to my next holiday and showing my family more of the delicious healthy mummy foods I make.
Love Caitlin
