One reason why I decided on my weight loss journey was the memories of when I was 8 years of age of how I suffered been overweight due to having a sugar addiction and eating unhealthy food.

Now as an obese adult been a 25 year old parent , I know that it would be highly possible that my children could have walked the life I once walked through in school, facing a life of bullies especially when some children can be cruel of how you look and even more so when you are “the fat child”.

I suffered with depression and did not  want to join in physical activities such as P.E as I was ashamed of how I looked whilst playing sports and in primary and high school been weighed in front of the class was daunting for having the highest number on the scales out of all the children in the class year after year.

I also found that I ate more due to the reasons I was comfort eating through my emotions which even still lead up to my adult years.

So This year in May I started my journey with The Healthy Mummy Program and as a family my children and I have had much enjoyment learning to cook healthy recipes together, some of my children’s favourite snacks have been featured from The “Healthy kids cookbook”

The recipes I highly suggest from this book to try are,

  • Rice, peas and Carrots for introducing (first food) my youngest daughter really enjoys this.
  • Teething Rusks ( I came upon this recipe in this book and both my two daughters are teething and have chewed and ate these healthy teething rusks
  • Freezable Smoothies for toddlers and older children my children love the ( green slime ) smoothie
  • Home Made Muesli Bars, this great for school lunches or a quick healthy snack
  • Individual Meat Pies have always been a huge hit, and also great for birthday parties
  • Fish Fingers
  • Chicken Nuggets
  • Apple Bites

The best thing about Lose Baby weight is, it is not a diet or restricts you from food you love.

They just encourage you to cook the meals you love in a healthier way along with providing you with the knowledge you need to lose weight and get healthy.

For me I no longer stress of what I will need to eat or what exercises to do each day, as the 28 Day Challenge does this for me.

My life has completely changed in so many positive ways and for that I am forever thankful.
