Ashleigh Sobey has lost an incredible 18kgs with Lose Baby Weight and shares her top Motivating Mum tips on how to get “28 Day Challenge Ready”.

Hello ladies,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Rhian and her team for choosing me to be a Motivating Mum for February.  I am loving the experience!
Throughout this month I’ve noticed a lot of mums are time poor and wanting to gear up ready for the March challenge.  I thought I might use this opportunity to share some preparation tips I have found helpful.  These are especially for mums starting out in March, but maybe we could all benefit. It is definately important to get yourself organised.  Here are my top tips for getting “28 Day Challenge Ready”.

CLEAR OUT

One of the first things I did was clear out my cupboard and fridge.  Get a rubbish bag and ditch anything that might tempt you.  I also threw out a lot of processed food in the hope I would not be needing them. It’s difficult when you have treats for the man of the house, but maybe get a box to place in the cupboard full of his special foods.  Out of sight, out of mind.  After a while hopefully he will see all the deliciousness you are making, and won’t want them anyway.

CHILL OUT

Stock up your freezer.  Chop and freeze your own fruit when it’s in season.  For example:  mango, banana, strawberries, passionfruit pulp and avocado are all great options. These make a great addition to any Healthy Mummy Smoothie or you can add to greek yoghurt for a snack while following the meal plans.
If you are a challenge member, you have access to all previous challenge recipes.  Maybe do a cook up before the challenge even starts.  Have some meals prepared in your freezer for when life gets too busy or even put them into your meal plan with the customisation tool.
Buy meat in bulk where you can.  Freeze.  Uncooked meat can last 4-12 months in the freezer.  Separate into portion sizes if possible.  Supermarkets have specials all the time, take advantage and save in the long run.

AND… CARRY ON

Don’t give up.

I’m sneaking up on my goal and this week have finally reached the milestone of losing 20 kilos while following the Lose Baby Weight plans.  My Healthy Mummy Smoothie vocabulary has been growing.  I love the Berry Mania and the Chocolate Coconut Surprise from the 28 Day Diet & Exercise Plan book.  I’ve also dedicated this month to making more chocolate treats from the Guilt Free cookbook. I recently made the Flourless Chocolate Cake and it was so good.  The Ebook is available free to all challenge members.
The other thing I have changed this month is I have began taking the Healthy Mummy Fish Oil Tablets.  I’ve never taken them before and have definately felt a boost in energy levels even when dealing with a teething baby!
Thanks for reading my blog.  I realise smoothies and recipes and exercising may all seem to be overwhelming, especially when you’re first starting out.  It was for me.  But just start small.  Be kind to yourself.  Anything you do is better than nothing, and once you get started, things just start sliding into place.  Enjoy your children and include them where you can.  Love to you all.
