I am so excited to be a Motivating Mum for December! I signed up to the very first 28 Day Challenge in July last year and haven’t looked back. I have lost 19kgs* with lose baby weight.

As a busy working mum I love the fact that the challenges give me all the tools I need to successfully lose weight in a healthy way.
The meals are not only nutritious and family friendly but super quick to make as well.  The only problem I have is there are so many amazing meals to choose from!

The Healthy Mummy Smoothies are my absolute lifesaver!! Whether I’m running late in the morning (which happens quite often!!) or just want something quick and easy for lunch, they are my go-to meal.
I love the fact that they help me to meet my daily nutrient requirements and that there are literally hundreds of different combinations to make so I am never bored.
Since joining the challenges and using the Healthy Mummy smoothies I have lost nearly 20kgs.
I still have about 7kgs to go till I reach my ultimate goal weight and I’m hoping being a Motivating Mum will give me the extra push I need during this month to get even closer to that goal.
I don’t lose weight easily or quickly. It’s been a very long and slow journey for me, but I have learnt so much about myself and the person/mum I want to be along the way.
Motivation for me has often been clothes, exercise or self-confidence related since the scales move so slowly.

Things like fitting back into clothes I haven’t worn since before having children, running a certain distance or even something as simple as confidently wearing lipstick or exercise tights out in public.
Doesn’t sound like much, but those things are usually the biggest benefits and prove how far I have come mentally as well as physically, rather than a number on the scales.
I’ve often been one of those people that is so focussed on how far I have to go to reach a goal that I completely disregard how far I have come and end up losing motivation.
Lose Baby Weight is the only weightloss program that I have stuck to for any length of time and actually felt ongoing success.
I am never hungry or feeling like I’m missing out on anything.  I’m not on a diet. Instead I’m working at changing my lifestyle while still being able to enjoy life and not feel deprived.
This is literally the first winter that I have not put on a ridiculous amount of weight!
The amazing women in the Lose Baby Weight Support Group have shown me that anything is possible and that I need to celebrate every success, big or small.
That doesn’t sound like much, but those little successes are what help to keep me motivated and inspired to continue working towards my goals.

December has to be the one month of the year I ALWAYS struggle with.
There are just so many functions, celebrations, end of year parties and get-togethers to go to that healthy eating and staying on track used to feel impossible.
My major goal for December is to make it through the month without putting on any weight. Losing a few kilos would be even better!
I plan on using my Lose Baby Weight knowledge to make the best choices possible, while still enjoying the festive season and all the fabulous food that goes along with it.
My contributions to parties will be coming from the Christmas and New Year Cookbook or the LBW website and challenge meals so that I know there will be healthy options there for me.
I also plan to concentrate on my exercise level. I want to try to incorporate some form of exercise each and every day, especially once I’m on holidays. There’s definitely no excuses then!
Basically, I want to throw away the excuses and achieve some of the goals that I’ve been working towards.
I hope that throughout this month I can motivate and inspire you to continue working towards and achieving your own weightloss and fitness goals. Bring on December ladies!
