My name is Stephanie and I can’t believe I’ve been chosen as one of the Winter Warrior Motivating Mums!
I have been a Healthy Mummy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge member since December 2015 and have lost 14kg, following the monthly meal plans and using the Healthy Mummy smoothies.
I signed up to the 28 day challenge on the 29th December 2015, five days after the birth of my third baby. For the first month I ate as well as I could, picking and choosing meals and snacks from the 28 day challenge, but my main priority was snuggling and enjoying my first baby girl.
I found it easy to prep meals and snacks, as well as look after my 3 year old, 1.5 year old, and newborn baby. I lost 5 kg in the first 28 day challenge. I was beyond amazed that I’d lost any weight, compared to after the birth of my first baby when I actually gained weight while breastfeeding!
The 28 day challenges and the Healthy Mummy Smoothies are completely safe for breastfeeding mums, and in actual fact, my milk supply is the best it’s ever been.
The June challenge will be my 6th 28 day challenge. To date I’ve lost 14 kg since I started the challenges and I am only 1.5kg away from my original goal weight of 62kg. I am now thinking that I may revise my goal weight to 60kg.
On the 2nd July, I will turn 30! I’ve vowed to be in the best shape of my life.
Therefore, June is going to be about toning and to keep my eating and exercise in check while I’m away on holidays for one week with my friends.
I am extremely proud of how far I’ve come, and excited to see where I can get. It hasn’t been easy all of the time, but I can actually say it’s been a lot easier than I could ever have imagined. The food is amazing and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything.
I’m going through a stressful time at the moment with my mum having some health issues, and I have been struggling to keep my eating in check the last 2 weeks. I’ve still been eating well the majority of the time, but have definitely strayed and a few old habits have snuck in *cough cough, COSTCO pizza*. I am determined to get back on track. I haven’t gained weight, but I also haven’t lost any.
For me, the absolute greatest thing about losing weight is being able to chuck on a pair of jeans and a singlet and feel comfortable and happy.
I’m here to motivate you all as best I can, but in actual fact it is all of you who will be motivating me!
